MODERN CONCEPTS OF ASSET MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES OF UKRAINE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of modern concepts of asset management in Ukrainian agricultural enterprises under market economy conditions, instability, and high risks. Since the agricultural sector is one of the key industries of Ukraine’s economy, effective asset management in this sector is crucial for financial stability, competitiveness, and long-term development. The article summarizes methodological approaches to asset management in agricultural enterprises and provides practical recommendations for their optimization. Under modern economic conditions, agricultural enterprises face numerous challenges, including fluctuations in agricultural product prices, the impact of climate change, difficulties in accessing financing, and instability in domestic and foreign markets. To achieve sustainable development, it is necessary to develop an effective financial policy that ensures efficient management of both current and non-current assets. The article examines the management of material, financial, and intangible assets of agricultural enterprises and their impact on financial results. The dynamics of the asset structure of Ukrainian agricultural enterprises in recent years have been analyzed, and trends in their development have been identified. Particular attention is given to improving asset utilization efficiency, especially through the implementation of modern digital technologies and managerial innovations. The article examines European asset management practices in the agricultural sector that could be adapted in Ukraine. Additionally, modern technological research that can be implemented within the framework of digitalization and the use of advanced technologies in agricultural enterprises has also been analyzed. Scientific approaches and studies by domestic and foreign researchers on asset management issues are highlighted, and comprehensive methods for asset accounting, evaluation, and analysis are reviewed. It is proven that the development of an effective asset management strategy is a key factor in ensuring the financial stability of agricultural enterprises. The main directions for improving management approaches to agricultural assets are identified, contributing to increased economic efficiency under conditions of uncertainty and risk.
