ECONOMIC MECHANISM FOR ENSURING THE FUNCTIONING OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES IN THE TERMS OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION PROCESSES
Abstract
The article is devoted to the development and substantiation of the economic mechanism for ensuring the functioning of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine in the conditions of European integration processes and military actions. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to adapt the agro-industrial complex to new challenges associated with integration into the European Union and military risks. It is well-founded that the agro-industrial complex plays an important role in the economy of Ukraine, ensuring food security and significant export potential. European integration involves reforming the legislative framework, introducing new quality standards, technologies, and increasing competitiveness on international markets. It was determined that during the thirty years of Ukraine's independence, agriculture underwent significant changes, from the transition from socialist to modern business structures, the use of the latest technologies, which led to increased productivity. Despite the military actions, the agricultural sector demonstrates resilience and the ability to adapt to challenges, remaining a key supplier of food to international markets. However, the war still dealt a serious blow to the agro-industrial complex, which requires significant investments for restoration and modernization. Therefore, it has been proven that the development of an economic mechanism is critically important for maintaining the stability, development and competitiveness of the agricultural sector. This mechanism should include organizational, financial, technological and legal aspects, as well as additional measures for crisis management. The key functions of the economic mechanism are defined: 1. Resource support. 2. Regulatory support. 3. Innovative development. 4. Organizational support. 5. Crisis management. 6. Logistics and supply. 7. Social support and training. 8. International cooperation. The main goals of the economic mechanism were also formulated: 1. Maintaining stability and adaptability. 2. Ensuring food security. 3. Increasing competitiveness. 4. Attracting investments and financing. 5. Stimulation of innovations and technological development. 6. Socio-economic development of rural areas. 7. Harmonization of legislation and regulatory support. 8. Crisis management and anti-crisis measures. Thus, a conceptual scheme of the economic mechanism for ensuring the functioning of agricultural enterprises in the conditions of the European integration processes of Ukraine was developed. Such a mechanism for agricultural enterprises is a necessary condition for the successful integration of Ukraine into the European economic space and ensuring the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, especially in times of war.
