TRANSFORMATION OF AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAINS IN THE CONTEXT OF SECURITY
Abstract
The article examines the transformation of agricultural supply chains in Ukraine amid full-scale war as one of the key challenges for the national economy and global food security. It is argued that military aggression has caused profound structural disruptions to traditional logistics and distribution chains, necessitating a reorientation of agricultural supply chains towards new, more resilient and adaptive models of operation. The study conducted a systematic analysis of the main factors that influenced the transformation of agricultural supply chains, in particular the blockade of seaports, the destruction of infrastructure, and the increase in logistics costs and transportation risks. The practical value of the study lies in the possibility of using the results obtained to improve the management of agro-industrial supply chains in conditions of increased security instability. The approaches and conceptual model of supply chain transformation proposed in the study can be used by agricultural enterprises in developing and adjusting logistics strategies, taking into account military risks, infrastructure constraints, and changes in market conditions. Key areas for transforming agricultural supply chains have been identified, including logistical reorientation, market diversification, changes in management strategies, and the activation of digital solutions. The socio-economic and global implications of these changes for food security have been revealed. A conceptual model for the transformation of agricultural supply chains in security conditions is proposed, reflecting the cause-and-effect relationships between external destabilizing factors, the disruption of traditional supply mechanisms, and the formation of sustainable, flexible, and risk-oriented logistics systems. It has been proven that the introduction of digital management tools, diversification of logistics routes and sales markets contribute to increasing the adaptability of the agricultural sector and preserving its export potential. The results obtained can be used in the formation of state policy in the field of logistics, food security and post-war restoration of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
