GLOBAL BUSINESS CULTURES AND THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Abstract

The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the impact of global business cultures on the efficiency of international business operations under conditions of increasing cultural differentiation of the global economic space. The starting premise of the study is that contemporary international business activity increasingly depends not only on economic and legal factors, but also on the specific features of national and corporate cultures, which determine managerial logic, communication patterns, and mechanisms for coordinating business processes. The purpose of the article is to examine the role of global business cultures in shaping the operational efficiency of international business and to substantiate practical approaches to adapting managerial models in an intercultural environment. The methodological framework of the study is based on systemic and comparative analysis, the generalization of contemporary scientific approaches to intercultural management, and the use of statistical data from selected countries worldwide and leading transnational companies. The article demonstrates that differences in leadership models, business communication styles, attitudes toward rules, time, and risk form diverse managerial architectures of international companies and directly affect the stability and performance of international operations. The research findings indicate that a mismatch between corporate standards and local cultural norms leads to increased transaction costs, the emergence of conflicts within intercultural teams, and a decline in the quality of managerial decision-making. It is substantiated that the adaptation of managerial practices to the cultural parameters of specific markets, the development of intercultural competencies of managers, the localization of management, and the institutionalization of cultural adaptation contribute to improving the operational efficiency of international business and the performance of international companies. The scientific novelty of the article lies in combining the analysis of global business cultures with an assessment of the efficiency of international operations and in formulating the author’s practical proposals for using business culture as a full-fledged managerial resource.
